Food at Mill Hill International
This year, a powerful student-voice journey began with a simple conversation. In a Student Council meeting, students explained that when you are far from your country, food becomes more than nourishment. The students then curated an International Recipe Booklet, gathering family dishes from across the world. The school's chef embraced the students’ vision and recreated their recipes.
One student described the impact on her: “Eating my home food at school made me feel understood. It reminded me that my culture matters here."
Our weekly menus are inspired by the diverse nationalities in our school, giving pupils the chance to enjoy dishes that remind them of home while sharing their culture with others.
