GCSE Results Day Success
Mill Hill International is delighted to announce another successful year of results from its One Year and Two Year GCSE pupils, with many achieving a string of Grade 9s (the highest level possible). The majority of Year 11 pupils have completed the I/GCSE course in just two terms and in a second language so to have achieved such results is an incredible achievement.
Overall, our pupils achieved a 9-4 (A*-C) pass rate of 91.7% (almost 25% higher than the national pass rate in England). Across 24 subjects, 81.4% of the I/GCSEs were awarded 9-6 (A*-B). The percentage of pupils achieving the top three grades of 9-7 (A*-A) was an impressive 46.3%, nearly 25% higher than the national average. Many subjects achieved a100% pass rate – Chemistry, Coordinated Sciences, English Literature, History and Spanish – and Spanish saw 100% of its pupils achieving 9-7 (A*-A).

Mill Hill International’s Head, Sarah Bellotti, commented, “I am truly proud of our Year 11 pupils who have achieved such outstanding grades. As expected, our pupils have secured the grades needed for the next step of their education. I thank the commitment and unwavering support from our teachers who have worked hard helping pupils reach their goals barely dreamed of when they started the School. That the majority of pupils achieved these exceptional grades after a course that lasted under a year is worthy of high praise indeed.
Beyond their academic success, our pupils have embraced every opportunity for a fulfilling and enriching time at Mill Hill International and have developed habits of mind that will serve them well in their further education and beyond. During their time at our school, they have all contributed in their own unique ways to our vibrant and diverse school community and I wish them all well as they embark on their new chapter whether at Mill Hill or other schools of their choice.”
Year 11 pupils have secured places at 50 different schools in the UK, amongst which, Mill Hill School, Cobham Hall, Westminster School, Highgate, Dulwich College, Charterhouse, Lancing College, The Leys, Caterham and Warwick School.
These excellent results follow on from our outstanding ISI Inspection in the Spring Term, and underline the recent improvements at Mill Hill International. They are a strong platform on which to build in the coming years, when we expect to take the school to even greater heights.
