- Remembrance Day Service 2024
The Mill Hill School community gathered in reflection for its annual Call to Remembrance Service, a poignant occasion marked by moments of reflection and tribute to those who gave their lives in service.
Pupils, staff, and distinguished guests convened in front of the Gate of Honour for the ceremony's opening, where they were addressed by Headmaster Mr Benson. His words set the tone for the day’s commemorations, urging those present to reflect on the sacrifices made by so many.
As the Last Post echoed across the grounds, a moment of silence was observed by all in attendance, allowing the school community to pay their respects to fallen soldiers. The service also saw the attendance of local members of the community, who gathered along The Ridgeway to witness the proceedings and join in the act of remembrance.
The day's events continued with a moving Service of Remembrance in the School’s Chapel. The service was beautifully delivered by a group of pupils and staff members, each taking part in readings and prayers.
This annual service serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of remembrance, not just within the School but in the wider community, as both young and old come together to honour the bravery and sacrifices of those who have served.
