- SA London North Badminton Tournament: Mill Hill International Strikes Gold Again!

SA London North Badminton Tournament
For the second year running, Mill Hill International returned from the ISA London North Badminton Tournament with the maximum number of medals possible- eight! This incredible achievement highlights the talent, determination, and teamwork of our pupils.
Representing the girls were Karin O, returning for her second year, alongside Andrea W, Masal T, and Clara S. From the outset, it was clear Karin was determined to go one better than last year and turn her silver medal into gold. Starting strong against the host school, Webber Independent, the girls hit the ground running with a convincing victory.
Across all their matches, the team competed fiercely and delivered outstanding performances. Andrea W recorded the largest win of the tournament with a dominant 15-1 singles victory, while Clara and Masel formed a formidable doubles partnership, adding crucial points to the Mill Hill International tally. When the league games concluded, Mill Hill International topped the table, edging out St Mary’s on head-to-head records. The girls proudly returned to school with gold medals, improving on last year’s silver. A fantastic achievement!
The challenge then fell to our boys’ team: Jim W, Ryan S, Eriksen H, and Tomas ZP. With strong competition from so many strong teams, the boys showed resilience and skill. Led by Jim’s technical ability and Ryan’s competitive edge in singles, plus the solid doubles pairing of Eriksen and Tomas, the team secured top spot in their league beating North Bridge House, St James and The Webber Independent School Black team, victories that earned them a place in the final for the second consecutive year.
In the final, they faced the host school, Webber Independent Purple team. Jim started well with a singles win, but the opposition proved too strong overall, and the Webber Purple team claimed a 4-1 victory. Our boys proudly took home silver medals, an outstanding result given the high standard of play.
Both teams’ performances left Mr Xu and Mr Bartlett delighted, and the entire school celebrated their success. Congratulations to all eight pupil, your hard work and determination made this another memorable day.
