A New Chapter: Launch of the Sixth Form at Mill Hill International
September 2025 marked an exciting milestone for Mill Hill International with the opening of its brand-new Sixth Form. This development has created a vibrant academic community where students are thriving in the rigours of A Level study and embracing the opportunities that come with senior school life. The first cohort has settled in remarkably well, demonstrating resilience and enthusiasm as they navigate their chosen subjects.
At the heart of this success is the new Sixth Form Centre, a thoughtfully designed space that balances productivity and wellbeing. It offers a calm environment for private study while also providing areas for relaxation and socialising—earning the affectionate title among students as their “happy place.” With over 13 different nationalities represented, the Sixth Form embodies a truly international perspective. Students benefit from small class sizes, ensuring personalised attention and expert A Level teaching. Beyond academics, every student undertakes the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), fostering independent research skills and intellectual curiosity.
As the majority of our students are studying in their second language, Mill Hill International provides specialist support through English for Academic Purposes (EAP) lessons and preparation for the IELTS examination. This is a distinctive strength of the school, ensuring that students not only master the language of their subjects but also gain the qualifications needed for global university entry.
Life in the Sixth Form is enriched further by a dynamic enrichment programme, encouraging students to broaden their horizons through cultural, creative, and leadership opportunities. A highlight of this programme is the students’ weekly volunteering at Saracens RFC’s inclusive rugby club at StoneX Stadium. Every Monday, they support young people with disabilities, helping to create a welcoming and empowering environment through sport. This experience not only strengthens community ties but also nurtures empathy and leadership among our Sixth Formers.
Another cornerstone of Sixth Form life is the Futures Programme, which prepares students for life beyond school. This comprehensive initiative combines essential PSHE and careers education with a stimulating lecture series, exposing students to diverse perspectives and real-world issues. Complementing this is a bespoke tutor programme, designed to guide students through worldwide university pathways—whether applying to UK institutions, Ivy League colleges, or universities across Europe and Asia. This personalised support ensures every student is equipped to make informed choices and succeed in their next steps.
The launch of the Sixth Form at Mill Hill International is more than an expansion—it is a commitment to excellence, diversity, and the development of future global citizens.
